Jacqueline M. Taylor
I received my BA in Psychology from University of Cincinnati and my MS in Mental Health Counseling from NOVA Southeastern University. My career in the Mental Health field began while working at Hanley-Hazelden, a residential treatment center in West Palm Beach, FL. My experience in the field of addictions and co-occurring disorders continued with my work as a Mental Health Therapist at Wekiva Springs Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, FL and Spencer Recovery Center in St. Augustine, FL, both residential treatment centers. My work with Halifax Behavioral Health gave me the opportunity to diversify by providing Mental Health Counseling to children, elementary through high school, in a school setting. Cox Behavioral Healthcare allows me to utilize all of my skills and knowledge with a very diverse clientele. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and am currently in the process of becoming certified. EMDR therapy is an evidenced based therapy shown to help people overcome past traumatic experiences. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness. I have a passion for motivating clients to identify their strengths and challenges, encouraging them to make positive changes and helping them grow in a healthy direction.
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves”
